Top 5 Food Delivery Services in Romania Q1 2023

In the first quarter of 2023, the top five food delivery services in Romania displayed diverse performance trends, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at how these apps fared in terms of weekly downloads and active users.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more saw a varied trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 29K at the end of December 2022 and experiencing a decrease to approximately 13K by the end of February. However, there was a slight recovery in March, with downloads reaching around 22K. The app maintained a relatively stable number of weekly active users, starting at 225K and peaking at around 242K in late January before a gradual decline to 217K by the end of March.

Tazz - Food and other cravings had a more stable download trend, with weekly downloads ranging between 6.7K and 9.4K throughout the quarter. The number of active users for Tazz showed some fluctuations, starting at 202K at the end of December and dropping to 185K by the end of January, before recovering to 201K by mid-March.

Freshful by eMAG experienced a significant increase in weekly downloads, starting at around 2.7K in late December and peaking at approximately 13K by mid-March. The active user base followed a similar upward trend, starting at 21.4K and reaching a peak of 36.8K by mid-March before settling at 32.3K at the end of the quarter.

Bolt Food also showed growth in weekly downloads, starting at 5.3K and increasing to around 8.7K by mid-March. The app's active users grew from 56K to around 81K in early March, before stabilizing at approximately 76K by the end of the quarter.

Sezamo had a more inconsistent download trend, starting at 4.1K at the end of December and reaching a peak of 11.3K by late January. However, downloads saw a significant drop to around 1.8K by the end of February, with a slight recovery to approximately 2.9K by mid-March.
